Our Client is a global investment bank with an established Operational Risk function.
Job description
Our Client is looking for an Operational Risk consultant to provide coverage for the department for a period approximately six months.The overall objective of the Department is to assist the business to operate in a controlled and sustainable way, avoid significant or persistent instances of operational risk control and process failures, enable decisions that are informed by operational risk considerations, and optimize operational risk usage of regulatory and economic capital.

We also allow for independent contractors (1099) that meet eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Who we are looking for
Four-year college degree6+ years of experience in financial services or related field, including product knowledge in either equities, prime services, investment banking or distribution5+ years of experience in finance, middle office, audit or operations roles4+ years of experience with Excel, Access and Microsoft ProjectExcellent problem-solving, research and analysis, technical, team building, and leadership skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProven ability to multi-taskDetailed understanding of regulatory/and market best practice in Operational Risk ManagementAbility to adapt style to meet stakeholder needsAmbition and a strong desire to succeedStrong financial and risk management skillsCommitted to work in a flat team-oriented structureAbility to manage reporting lines and relationships across multiple business and functionsExceptional communicator and highly developed relationship management skill.Control issue analysis and evaluationStrong organizational skills and attention to detailMBAAbility to liaise and influence senior management in the firm, and establish strong working relationships with third parties, external and internal.
