  • Analyzes large liability financial transactions, verifying the accuracy of the data and the reasonableness of the transactions.Gathers back-up documentation needed to ensure financial and transaction integrity is maintained.
  • Performs due diligence on clients by reviewing small business credit reports through Equifax, Experian, Lexis Nexis, and Dun & Bradstreet.
  • Attempts to build credit knowledge by utilizing available resources. Uses this knowledge to strive towards team goals as well as improve efficiencies as a credit department.
  • Responsible for providing management with detailed information on client/payroll concerns in order to gain a comfort level in processing high dollar transactions.
  • Maintains relationships with banking partners to assist in validating account information.
  • Identifies and monitors existing clients that are considered high risk. Reviews these clients periodically to determine if Paychex should continue the relationship or explore alternative means of processing with the client.
  • Reviews high revenue clients that may qualify for exemption from wire policy. Gathers the necessary data such as credit reports, history with Paychex, and industry analysis for management to make an informed decision.
  • Monitors economic conditions and recent events that could have a direct impact on Paychex business. Creates and implements strategies to prepare for such instances.
  • Works closely with members of other departments such as accounting, Taxpay, support, etc. in order to resolve reconciliation issues, system issues, and client concerns.
  • Diffuses difficult client concerns, notifies management of critical situations, and ensures the best solution is implemented for the client as well as Paychex.
  • Develops problem resolution techniques and makes recommendations to staff and management.
  • Exhibits basic knowledge of all Paychex products in the risk management portfolio and their corresponding systems.

Job Requirements

Candidates must be able to work the following shift: M-Th 12pm-8:30 pm, Fri 9am-6 pm. A minimum of 3 years experienceis required. Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in lieu of experience.Knowledge in banking and/or credit is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills arerequired.Experience with Access Database is strongly desired.
