Building Controls Software Engineer

T.M. Bier & Associates, Inc. is one of the largest Control Systems Engineering firms in the New York Metropolitan area. Since the industry began, TMBA has specialized in providing state of the art Building Automation Systems and energy cost reduction measures (design, installation and service) for commercial, industrial and institutional accounts.

We are looking for an entry-level Computer Engineer to train as a member of our growing IT staff. We design, install, program, and maintain computer-based control systems of all sizes at hundreds of sites in the New York Metro area.

This position will involve:

Installation of Building Automation System (BAS) computers at newly constructed and existing buildings

Programming and configuration of BAS using a proprietary hardware and code-based programming language

Designing user interfaces to effectively communicate BAS system status and feedback to the end user

Servicing BAS systems for our service contract customers

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent

Experience programming Embedded Control applications

Experience in designing and programming Graphic User Interfaces (GUI)

Proficiency in setting up and maintaining Windows based PCs

Proficiency in small site networking configuration

Attention to detail, and customer relations a must!
