CAD/CAM Engineering Manager at Suffern

Our client is seeking a CAD/CAM Engineering Manager in Bergen County (NJ).

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and vision to the firm in the area of CAD including Strategic Planning, Scheduling, budgeting, Provide input to Operations, QA and business development for improvements and project proposals


• Handles management of the CAM operator team like production planning, staffing, recruiting, training and frequent reviews - 5 direct reports


• Provide production milling operations & development CAD support


• Develop, implement and enforce CAD Standards, organize the CAD environment


• Supply technical support for all CAD software


• Provide training and supervision of in-house CAD users


• Generate written technology evaluations for future software adoption


• Monitor and maintain server / license availability & usage, Daily backups, AntiVirus and SPAM filter overview and maintenance


• Execution of MCOs, validations and project management

• Bachelors degree in technical field or five years of specialized technical training in CAD/CAM


• Experience in a common CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD) and CAM software (Open mind, Delcam), preferably for 5-axis milling machines


• Minimum five or more years CAD/CAM support experience in a combination of technician, and/or CAD technician or designer positions, knowledge of Delcam & Powermill projects preferred


• Solid understanding of CAD applications and best practices. Knowledge in CAD/CAM work in dental restoration preferred


• Capable of PC-standard software (MS-Office), Basic knowledge of SAP a plus


• Minimum three years experience in supervising a CAD team and proven leadership capabilities


• Additional computer skills including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project/Primavera P3/P5, AutoCAD
