The accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Using state-of-the-art high resolution inspection methods for analysis of deposited copper films in micron and sub-micron semiconductor structures
Preparing samples for high resolution imaging
Methods, operation tasks and material science results and interpretations should be documented and communicated to materials science team members and internal customers
Manage flow of samples from receiving at the lab to returning to internal customers
The position is linked to the two copper development teams in Albany (Dual Damascene and 3D integration) activities. The position supports both teams with materials science analysis. Analytical data is gathered on various instruments owned by our company and some owned by CNSE; these include FIB-SEM, confocal microscopy, argon mill cross sectioning tool, mechanical preparation, and others. Priorities for analysis are set by the R&D leaders and materials science team leader.
