Compensation: $12.66 to $14.66 per hour

Local company based in Syracuse looking for a Dispatcher. Hours 8-5 Saturday through Wednesday. Full time position. Possibly will be on call after hours on weekends. Duties will include Supervising drivers, safety of drivers loads/runs, and customer service. Coordinate daily terminal activities by taking customer delivery orders via, telephone, email, fax or in person. Review and complete the order process, prepare the schedules for local and long-distance moves, Determine number of trips and vehicles to run, assign drivers and equipment to runs and prepare schedules indicating loading and unloading times. Position will also assist with payroll (backup).Responsible for implementing Federal, State and local rules & regulations. Aid drivers in locating difficult addresses and may investigate and adjust complaints by customers regarding serviceMonitor fuel usage and make independent decisions about when and where to deliver fuel, including decisions regarding diverting loads, canceling deliveries and adding deliveries as needed. Position will also be backup to payroll and may do some accounting and data entry.
