The candidate will be responsible for management of the Splunk application and server environment. Advanced Splunk administration and configuration experience is required
The candidate will also be responsible for Level 3 support of legacy network management applications, including Cacti, Solarwinds NPM, WhatsUp Gold, Fluke Netflow Tracker, and Lancope FlowReplicator. Experience in the administration and configuration of these applications is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have 5-10 years experience in large enterprise network management architecture, strategy and design. A strong background in SNMP and related management technologies, as well as Cisco router and switch configuration is required. The candidate must have strong communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to work with partners and customers. Advanced Unix and scripting skills are also desirable.
The candidate may be required to provide backup support for other management applications, including HP Network Automation, Riverbed (Opnet) NetMapper, and EMC Watch4Net. Experience with these tools is considered a plus.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge in the following areas:
Distribution Server (groups, distributed TAs)
Universal Forwarders (inputs.conf and outputs.conf)
License Manager (license pools, filtering)
Raw Search
App deployment
Dashboard creation
View & Forms creation
Alerts & Saved Search
Regex Inline and Transform creation
Scheduled and ad hoc reports
