Business Analyst - Risk Infrastructure at New York

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst in New York, NY.

Our client has mobilized a global Liquidity Risk Infrastructure (LRI) program that is a firm-wide, mission critical effort to enhance their liquidity risk management monitoring and reporting capabilities, which will include a redesign of the related supporting technology and infrastructure. The LRI program will implement a world class liquidity risk reporting system complying with recently mandated new Federal and Basel regulations. The program will include strategic data sourcing, data enrichment, analytical, monitoring, and reporting capabilities.

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join the Available Collateral Business Services team. This individual will be a part of the dynamic team of highly talented individuals and will be encouraged to contribute ideas, learn, design and implement.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a liaison between LRI technology, LOB leads and Global Treasury

  • Assist in development of requirements strategy, direction, scope and priorities of the workstream.

  • Analyze business requirements and review/produce specifications.

  • Provide technical and functional support throughout the project lifecycle, including creating Business Requirements and Functional Requirements documents, and working with the development team to facilitate the Build effort (e.g. ensuring that they understand the specifications), creating use cases, and partnering with the business to ensure sign-off on all requirements, testing and implementation

  • Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation.

  • Track milestones, and report project status at Working Groups or End-to-End Meetings.



Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5+ years of relevant Business Analysis experience

  • Experience obtaining requirements from business users and subject matter experts, reviewing business priorities, and/or analyzing options & risks.

  • Experience creating functional system requirements specifications

  • Intermediate level experience in MS Excel

  • College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience, preferably within Financial Services

  • Ability to write detailed business and functional requirements

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to grasp large amounts of information, and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to fully develop business and functional requirements

  • Knowledge of software development life cycle

  • Understanding of the companys business practices and familiarity with the companys products and services is an advantage

  • Securities product knowledge is a plus

  • Understanding of Liquidity Risk business a
