JOB DESCRIPTION

Monitors a large fleet of power generation equipment utilizing advanced data analysis techniques and innovative tools to empower our customers to make smarter decisions. With extensive experience in power plant equipment design, plant operations and computer science Power Diagnostics(r) leverages a unique set of skills with a relentless focus on the customer. Seeking an engineer to remotely monitor power plant operations. The successful candidate will analyze operating data, diagnose hardware, control and operational issues, explain each issue to the customer and make service recommendations. The position will work closely with the Power Diagnostics(r) R&D Team to automate monitoring activities. The position requires participation in an on-call, after hours rotation program (typically 1 week of on-call duty every 8 to 12 weeks) to support the Power Diagnostics(r) Center and the 24/7 Field Service Support Program.

This position requires:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Positive customer focused attitude.
Close cooperation with Siemens Engineering and Service Organizations.

Candidate should posses an understanding of simple cycle and combined cycle power plant operations and/or design. An understanding of total plant operations including steam turbine and BOP equipment is desirable but not required. Spanish language skills are desirable but not required
