Public Tax Accounting Manager at Somers

Our client, a well respected public accounting firm, seeks a Tax Manager to join its extended family environment in Somers, NY. In this position, you will assist with client relations, provide day-to-day accounting support to a portfolio of clients, and supervise "value added" non audit related engagements, prepare tax filings as well as research and planning activities. This is a unique firm that offers a balanced "Quality of Life". Public accounting experience and a CPA certification are required.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Implementing and overseeing the tax plan


• Performing managerial functions in the office


• Prepare the required government documents concerning taxes


• Ensure the accuracy of all documents


• Offering solutions to pressing tax problems


• Working with a diverse group of people to further the goals of the company


• Accurately and efficiently managing tax reporting and planning and ensure compliance of tax laws for the company or client
