Job Classification: Contract Our client a major financial information and news leader is looking for a Sr. Software Developer to join their team. They are looking for a strong developer who has great analytical and problem solving skills since there are hundreds of thousands of daily subscribers. The office is located in the heart of New York City. The selected candidate will have a unique opportunity to work on a client information and interaction system. On a daily basis the goal is to better service the clients to the primary responsibilities will entail developing algorithms to enhance the clients user experience as well as reviewing usage patterns. The developer will be exposed to various domains and technologies and have a great opportunity to learn and contribute their own ideas. Some of the software and technology include Statistical modeling, data warehouse, relational databases and complex multithreaded real time servers. The ideal candidate should have at least knowledge of software engineering experience in C or C++ as well as experience with Relational Databases. It is a plus if the candidate has experience with C# and web services. The selected candidate will have a unique opportunity to work on a client information and interaction system.
