The Role:The Systems Ticketing Analyst will be responsible for the maintenance and uptime of Ticketmaster’s inventory management systems. The analyst will be expected to learn our in house ticketing application as well as bring key skill sets that will facilitate the creation of new tools for the department. A strong candidate will have a good background in Linux, Perl; BASH scripting, SQL and HTML. The successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic and a professional approach to their work. This role will have exposure to a number of critical systems and groups within our organization. You will be part of a global team that is responsible for supporting Ticketmaster’s ticketing application that powers the core of our business. Responsibilities:Ensure uptime of Ticketmaster’s ticketing system.Will be required to learn Ticketmaster’s ticketing application to an advanced level, full training will be provided.Develop under the direction of the Senior Core Ticketing Manager specified tools ensuring you adhere to the development cycle and project requirements.Lead discussions in the conception of any new tools.Ensure creation of documentation suitable for both end users and technical resources for all developed tools.To be part of a small team providing Ticketing Application support . You will be expected to adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures governing all operational aspects of our business.Perform all work requests that flow into the department from our internal clients via our ticket tracking system.Ensure timely completion and regular feedback on all allocated projects.Actively contribute to the expansion of the department knowledgebase by drafting entries with links to resolved tickets when gaps exist in our knowledgebase.As part of a global team you will be responsible for the implementation and operation of Ticketmaster’s ticketing application. This includes ticketing host upgrades, configuration management, monitoring, escalation and incident management as well as day to day business operations.Ensuring appropriate escalation and notifications are completed immediately during interruptions or outages. Job RequirementsProven experience working in an application support role.Good experience with any flavour of Linux operating systems as well as a good understanding of both databases and clustered environments.A good understanding of the software development lifecycle.Experience using a work request tracking system like Infra or request tracker.Ability to work as part of a team and be self-driven with minimal supervision.Ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills: Fluent Programming skills that should ideally include Perl.Good experience and knowledge of the Linux operating system.Scripting skills BASH preferred.Good understanding of SQL including querying abilities.Basic HTML skills.Ability to think logically and analyze application and business process requirements.Excellent communication skills.Results oriented: readily takes ownership to ensure goals are met.Strong analytical skills that help with problem management, and drive problem resolution.Good understanding of Networking.Good time management skills.
