Sr. Windows Engineer at New York

Our client is seeking a Sr. Windows Engineer in New York, NY.

Duties:

• Migrations of users desktop profiles from Roaming to Local without productivity or data loss. Migrate platform to latest Microsoft Operating Systems, currently Windows 7


• Project delivery with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables using project management methodologies


• Enhancing the Microsoft Active Directory to allow full utilization of Windows 7 features and functionalities.


• Desktop transformation from the Windows XP to Windows 7, build, desktop design, configuration, testing, implementation and deployments.

• At least 8 years of experience as a Senior Windows Engineer


• Client interaction skills along with technological expertise in supporting large service delivery team


• Strong technical expertise in all major server technologies with experience managing mission critical, high availability IT systems


• Knowledge of MDT 2012 to deploy Windows 7


• Knowledge of MDT 2013 to deploy Windows 8.1


• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory


• Ability to align agency goals and initiatives


• Document and implement disaster recovery guidelines for critical NYC desktops.


• VMware Mirage knowledge a plus
