Responsibilities:
- Determine the appropriate accounting for new large complex transactions, which will include business combinations, securitizations, investment in various financial instruments, real estate and other
- Coordinate with multi-disciplined deal teams consisting of finance, operations, valuation, tax, legal and other business personnel
- Consult with external auditors and other outside advisors
- Formulate accounting conclusions on transactions and discuss with internal and external constituents, including regulators
- Document findings and accounting treatment
- Ensure appropriate governance and project management
Position Requirements:
- B.A. / B.S. degree in Accounting is required. CPA and/or public accounting experience is preferred
- 8 or more years of accounting experience, preferably involving transactions and accounting policy
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills is essential
- Proficient in the use of MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
- Detail-oriented, energetic and be able to discuss complex accounting matters in plain English
- Strong client facing and technical accounting skills
