MANUFACTURING ENGINEER at Utica

ECR International, Inc. a manufacturer of boilers and forced air heating and cooling products headquartered in Utica, New York is seeking a MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION: Previous manufacturing production line experience and successful first hand team leadership in HVAC, CNC, Sheet Metal, Assembly and/or Foundry plants. Capable of highly detailed manufacturing plant and assembly line layouts. Responsible as manufacturing liaison with engineering for conceptualization of new or modified products. Lean Manufacturing Flow and Cost Down expert. Leads a cross functional team to achieve increased productivity and cost downs. Mentors all production personnel. Knowledge of key production metrics such as: Productivity, Efficiency, Lead Time, TAKT Time, First Pass Yield, Schedule Attainment, Cost Variance, and Inventory Turns.
QUALIFICATIONS: 5 to 7 years as a successful Manufacturing Engineer working in a fast paced production environment. A complete understanding of manufacturing processes as it relates to HVAC equipment, CNC, Sheet Metal and/or Foundry Plants Preferred. Minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. A Master s degree in the same or related field is a plus. Proven track record in heating and air conditioning manufacturing preferred. Detailed knowledge of production and manufacturing metrics is essential.
