We are seeking a very sharp, hard-working, hands-on HR professional to become a team player in the HR department which supports a staff of 500+ employees nation-wide. This is a newly created, challenging position, which is one of two HR Managers, with ownership of the training and development function, plus sharing the day-to-day departmental responsibilities and projects including but not limited to:
- Training determine training and employee development needs, establish training programs both technical and non-technical, facilitate and/or conduct training, create schedules, classes, maintain training records, evaluate training results. Present all training recommendations to Senior Management.
- Conduct New Hire Orientations onboarding new employees.
- Assist with the high volume recruiting including job postings (creation & placement), resume retrievals, testing and interviewing.
- Revise, create and maintain current job descriptions.
- Prepare various reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
- Participate in performance management, disciplinary actions, salary reviews, etc.
- Other research projects as assigned by HR and/or Sr. Management.
- Suggest best practices in HRIS and other HR policies.
- Back-up administrative support for HR Department
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelors degree in HR/Business with HR focus preferred and 5+ years related work experience OR Masters degree and 3+ years related work experience.
primary experience in training, employee development & recruitment
working knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and be solution oriented,
experience in administering benefit programs, open enrollments, etc.
process data into our HRIS system (ABRA)
must have highest regard for quality and continuous improvement.
excellent employee relations and problem solving skills.
excellent communication skills with all staff levels, both written & verbal.
excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
excellent computer skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint with ability to create flow charts in Excel.
Someone out of manufacturing, distribution or a hi-tech industry that is ISO 9000 certified is a strong plus.
Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to ITAR compliance.
