Direct the work activity of skilled employees such as production, testing, craft, and clerical workers in the training, preparation, and execution of their assigned duties. Exercise leadership qualities to influence and enlist the support of personnel assigned to accomplish the assigned tasks.
The Off-Hull Shift Supervisor (OHSS) serves as the operational lead on shift for both prototype off-hull operations and some site infrastructure systems.As the shifts operational lead, the OHSS works directly for the Supervisor of Off-Hull Operations (SOHO) and the prototype Shift Supervisor.The OHSS has responsibility for the over-all safe and efficient operation of both plants off-hull systems and supervision of the four represented on shift Auxiliary Systems Operators (ASO).Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the execution of Off-Hull maintenance including overseeing the establishment of plant conditions, supervising the performance of maintenance, and performance of required retests.
- Track completion of ASO continuous training progress for those individuals in their assigned section to ensure all requirements are completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with KSO service organizations such as Rad Con and ESH to accomplish required work.
- Assure compliance to environmental, safety, and health and radiological controls requirements through proper training and supervision of workers and proper engineering of work documents.Perform routine field surveillances to overview processes and provide feedback.
- Track and administer the ASO performed Off-Hull Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) program.
- Perform routine audits such as F-10 monitoring, tag audits, etc. as directed.
- Instruct and assist inorientation and training of Navy and civilian personnel.
- Troubleshoot equipment and generate work documents. Ensure work is properly planned, scheduled, and completed in the proper priority.
- Oversee the proper operation of site infrastructure systems such as Site Service Water and Site Electrical Distribution.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Previous plant operations or maintenance experience
- Ability to obtain a TLD
- Support continuous producion operation (24 hr/7 days/wk)
