Time Warner Cable currently seeks a Tap Audit Tech I for our Finance Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to perform field audits.

Essential Job Functions:

- Audits system for unauthorized customer hook-up by performing ground observation, pole climbing and reviewing computer data

- Disconnects illegal cable connections and removes drops from locations where illegal hook-up has been detected.

- Prepares, submits and maintains various reports and logs, including daily report of findings, log of UV detections.

- Maintains and stocks necessary materials and tools for company vehicle and complies with Time Warner Cables vehicle operations policy

- Recognizes, practices and enforces safety rules and procedures

- Must be able to work with various hand tools such as electric drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc

- Performs other duties as assigned

- Regular, punctual and consistent attendance

Job Requirements:

- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of various tools and equipment.

- Must be able to meet and maintain safe load limits for provided equipment, in accordance with TWC Weight Restriction Policy

- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications

- Good mechanical aptitude

- General knowledge of the city and map reading

- Ability to organize materials, tools and equipment. Able to research and remove illegal connections.

- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Able to stand for a long period of time.

- Works outside throughout the year

- Works in various weather conditions, which may be extreme hot or cold conditions

- May drive for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required

- Cable installation or other related experience preferred

- Must possess a valid drivers license

Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent or minimum five (5) years of directly related experience required
