ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Participate in the development of brand strategies and annual plans in order to achieve marketing objectives and financial goals.
  • Assist in the development, execution, and coordination of trade and consumer promotions, working with internal marketing services group and outside professional agencies.
  • Perform detailed analyses of business trends and performance utilizing internal reports, syndicated data, and outside research.  Develop recommendations from those analyses 
  • Manage and develop relationships and idea exchanges with marketing counterparts at Banfi suppliers, which include issue resolution and general business communications and marketing collaboration.
  • Work as part of brand teams and marketing support services in order to prepare and develop selling materials, Point-of-Sale, and brand presentations for use by field sales and/or Banfi customers/retailers.
  • Includes frequent contact with internal departments, external agencies, and foreign suppliers in order to coordinate and communicate information.
  • Some overnight travel.  Purposes would include, but not be limited to, attending trade functions, market visits, and meeting with suppliers.
  • Develop product description sheets, tech cards, shelf talkers, tasting cards and other related support materials for all brands within the portfolio.
  • Develop and delivery brand presentations to internal and external groups.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

  • 4 year college degree and/or equivalent work experience, enabling incumbent to perform job responsibilities as required.
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and to apply learned knowledge to new situations.
  • Knowledge of PC, working within Microsoft Office – Word and/or Power Point is critical to the success of this position.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS (con’t)

  • Independent worker – Incumbent must be able perform job responsibilities without daily supervision.
  • Ability to handle concurrent tasks.
  • Motivation and desire to take on more responsibility in the future.
  • Brand or agency account working on beverage and/or consumer product brands is desirable.
  • Passion for wines and the wine industry is desirable.
  • Bi-lingual skills (Spanish and/or Italian) a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to use their hands and eyes for PC use; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  The incumbent is required to stand; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; see, taste and smell wine products in particular.  The incumbent must be aware that the job involves distribution of alcohol beverages and recognizes that the company in no way encourages excessive or unnecessary drinking of alcoholic beverages while exercising the duties of this job.  The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time, the approximate weight of a case of wine. 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Current valid driver’s license, current valid passport (may be obtained after employment begins)
  • Good time management skills
  • No DWI offenses
  • No illegal drug use
  • Must be able to travel as job requires
  • Employee must comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations which govern the alcoholic beverage industry and maintain at all times the highest ethical business standards and fiduciary duty on

behalf of the company and its customers
