Sales Engineer at Liverpool

Job Description

Summary:

 

Assume direct responsibility for sales of hydraulic and electric fuel control components and services to an installed aftermarket base of heavy-duty gas turbines for the Eastern Sea Board and Canada.  Develop and implement an annual sales plan to obtain targeted results.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy and tactical plan to address the installed aftermarket base of heavy-duty gas turbines across North America.
  • Initiate and grow productive commercial relationships with gas turbine owners to support a consultative selling process.
  • Identify and close on opportunities for technology upgrades or conversions, onsite repair, and in-house overhaul of legacy Y&F and competitor components.
  • Represent Young & Franklin at industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Contribute to the broader ongoing effort to optimize Young & Franklin’s business opportunities and results.


Job Requirements

Qualifications:

 

  • The ideal candidate will have at least five years technical selling experience in the power generation or a related industry. 
  • A BS degree in an engineering or technical discipline strongly preferred.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to articulate a variety of complex technical issues orally and in writing.  A keen business sense and strong problem-solving and negotiating skills are also required.
  • In order to be effective in this role, the successful candidate will travel approximately 70% of the time.
