TITLE:Technical Lead, Application Development Manager.SUMMARY: An Application Development Manager is a technical hands-on lead role in the full systems life cycle spanning business analysis, design, development, implementation and support of applications software and technical solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.

• Oversee technical development of back office and front office application developers.
• Collaborate with other technical managers on technology direction.
• Participate in the vendor selection of third party systems. Design/development, implementation/integrate and maintain vendor supplied systems.
• Gathers, compiles and synthesizes information with regard to business/document workflow, technology processes and/or systems
• Conducts ongoing research with the objective of incorporating new technologies into effective solutions
• Makes recommendations towards component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build decisions

QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Expert Oracle database development (stored procedures, triggers, functions, etc.) in a team environment.
• Expert working knowledge of Oracle Forms/Reports (6i/11g), including: Java, XML, web services integration.
• Working knowledge or Oracle WebLogic application server.
• Working knowledge of Document Generation systems in a high volume environment is preferred.
• Web Development/Web Application skills (HTML, JSP, JQuery, AJAX) highly desirable.
• Knowledgeable of Open Source solutions/projects.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

8+ years experience in field.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Oracle, Oracle Forms/Reports, Java, UNIX/Linux, Source Code Control

OTHER SKILLS:

Performs complex and challenging work under limited supervision. Exercises independent judgment in accordance with specified policies and guidelines. Possesses procedural and/or technical knowledge that has been developed through experience. Responsible for: technical design, project development/delivery, operational readiness, documentation and operational hand-off. Strong written and verbal communication skills/ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
