Booking.com BV in Amsterdam(the company behind Booking.com, the market leading online accommodationreservation service in the world) and/or its various supportcompanies throughout the worldare looking for people to support the business in the fast-growingaccommodation markets.Booking.com (USA) Inc., one of the supportcompanies in North America, is looking for a Pricing Manager.We are looking for a candidate to work with a wellperforming team in order to support Booking.com BV in optimizing the relationship withthe accommodations by improving accommodation room-pricing and room-deals. You will be responsible for monitoring theimplementation of the Booking.com BV pricing strategy with accommodationswithin your region. In this capacity you monitor marketdevelopments and encourage local execution through training, communication andinteraction. You work closely with the Area Managers to analyzeand identify competitive landscape, gameplay andpositioning in your region in line with the global strategy of Booking.com BV.You willbe reporting to the Regional Manager in improving accommodation pricing anddeals and supporting Booking.com BV in meeting the demands of the visitors onthe Booking.com website.This role requires an individual with a strongbackground and hotel industry knowledge, accompanied with the ability to buildrelations; highlight behaviors and key trends in the designated market; with afocus on pricing.Function description:
  • Responsible for coverage of the appointed area within your region;
  • Fully own and understand the pricing position and deal implementation in your region according to guidelines provided by Booking.com BV in Amsterdam;
  • Providing information and support to Booking.com BV by conducting thorough competitor research and analysis reporting in order to gain competitive edge on hotel pricing within your region;
  • Understand channel dynamics and channel partner behaviors;
  • Analyze and identify competitive landscape, gameplay and positioning; including meta-search;
  • Feed back to Amsterdam to provide support in deciding worldwide strategies regarding competitors gameplay, competitive intelligence and insight;
  • Liaising with Amsterdam to resolve pricing issues, escalate structural and display issues;
  • Working with Area Managers & Seniors to educate teams in order for them to understand competitive landscape and the complex topic of pricing and how best to approach our accommodation partners on the subject of pricing;
  • Identify pricing opportunities & challenges in pricing;
  • Align with Area Managers and Regional Managers to set local goals and monitoring to implement Amsterdams pricing guidance;
  • Communicate roll outs of pricing innovations set by Amsterdam;
  • Help local teams to encourage properties to comply with Amsterdams pricing strategies;
  • Visit offices within regions to assist on all of the above.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of the Booking.com formula, processes and guidelines provided by Amsterdam;
  • Excellent understanding of the hotel market and how pricing works;
  • Clear understanding of the competitive landscape;
  • Strong business focus to win the market through the best pricing for our visitors;
  • Management experience within the Booking.com group; minimum Senior Account Manager 6 months;
  • Solid analytical skills, strong knowledge of processes and tools within the Hotels Department;
  • Good communication and business skills;
  • Willingness to travel frequently;
  • Enthusiastic and determined approach to positively impact the topic of Pricing.
