JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking detailed oriented investigator who is a driven self-motivated and thrives in complex investigation matters and is able to be a self-starter eager to learn and grow.
The candidate must be able to balance their work load of field investigations and in office work weekly and have a minimum of 4 years experience in Special Investigations and Fraud investigations with an understanding of technology. The candidate must be able to write detailed reports, conduct witness interviews and understand computer forensic investigations. The candidate should have experience in conducting diligence investigations, fraud investigations and analyze data that is collected during the course of those investigations. Understanding of Civil and Criminal law is a must and all candidates must have access to a vehicle as travel in the tri state area is a major portion of the job. Hours are irregular and night work is necessary at times. The following attributes are a plus CFE, College Degree and or Law Degree. Prior military experience and knowledge of modern investigative techniques such as Cyber crime investigations, network forensics.
Essential Functions:

The Essential Functions Include:
1) Opening files and communication with the client to narrow the focus of the investigation
2) Liaising with local state and federal authorities to secure data needed to complete their investigations.
3) Conducting interviews of witness
4) Providing analysis of a matter and overview of remediation steps to take to move the case forward.
5) Contact with the client and update of files
6) Take part in computer forensic acquisitions and network forensic analysis
7) Conducts quality investigations in accordance with budgetary requirements and agreed upon deadlines to ensure client satisfaction and retention with minimal supervision.
8) Submits investigative reports to ensure accuracy, investigative sufficiency and professional quality; edits and corrects as necessary.
9) Reviews reports of Associate Investigators as assigned for specific investigations
10) Maintains and submits accurate time and expense records in accordance with company guidelines.
11) Briefs appropriate supervisory/management personnel on a consistent and timely basis as to the status of each investigation.
12) Participates in designated training sessions/seminars and reviews company training materials to maintain professional competencies and ensure high quality investigations.
13) Maintains assigned equipment; maintains driver license, auto insurance, and serviceable vehicle, etc.
14) Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications At Entry:
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, cell phone).
• Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Education/Experience
Associate’s degree and four (4) years of related experience.
Competencies (As Demonstrated Through Experience, Training, and/or Testing):
• Must be able to meet any federal, state, or municipal licensing requirements.
• Strong interviewing/interrogation and photography (still, video and covert camera installation) skills
• Computer literacy in current office and business software programs; effective typing skills required to produce reports, correspondence, etc.
• Must be able to work under adverse conditions with little or no supervision
• Must possess keen attention to detail
• Ability to solve complex problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision
• Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
• Ability to write detailed, accurate complex investigative and business correspondence and present information in one-on-one and group situations

Working Conditions: (Physical/Mental Demands)

• Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
