Overview:

 

Internap is currently seeking a Network Operations Engineer for our U.S. operations team.  If you enjoy working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, ultra technical environment an want to hone your skills as a Network guru, Internap is hte right place for you.  This position is for our hosting operations team that manages the infrastructure for our company and clients and will include advanced configuration, management, and tuning of the IP network and customer implementations of powered infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities:

 

5+ years experience as a Network Engineer

Expert at switching and router platforms from Cisco, Foundy, Juniper and Arista

Enterprise firewall experience including site-to-site VPN, ACL management and debugging in the Cisco ASA platform

Strong working knowledge or network protocols including IPv4/IPv6, BGPv4/v6, ISIS, OSPF, GVRP

Built redundant networks with technologies like HSRP, VRRP, LACP, MLAG

Experience with IP transit, carrier provisioning, peering and vendor escalation

Experience in a service provider organization, preferably handling a multi-tenant environment

Strong knowledge and a high comfort level with Linux operating systems

Great interpersonal and documentation skills

Job Requirements

Preferred Skills/Experience -

Previous experience at a hosting company

Knowledge of backbone peering and transit/transport networks

Experience with F5 and Zeus Load Balancing

Certifications from Cisco, Foundry, Juniper, Arista, and F5

IPv6 migration experience

Experience with IDS/IPS Appliances and Services

Experience with genCF
