Payroll Manager at New York

Job Description

Major NYC consulting entity seeks an Assistant Payroll Manager for a permanent position

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities for this position include,but are not limited to the following:

Ensure accuracy and timely processing of payroll

Assure compliance with all payroll procedures and tax mandatedrequirements

Ensure the highest possible level of customer service to internalclients while resolving issues professionally in a timely manner

Prepare, reconcile and load the monthly employer tax and expense(Labor Distribution Report)

Review and approve Personnel Action Notices (PANs)

Review transfers and incorrect tax set ups

Manage Temporary SSN requests

NOCs and ACH Banking Report and Issues

Manage new tax set up requests

Develop and drive accountability of team members

Participate in and / or leadpayroll related projects, as assigned by the Payroll Manager

NYCfinancial entity seeks an Assistant Payroll Manager for a permanent position.

Job Requirements

The requirements for this position include, butare not limited to the following:

Bachelors degree

7+ years of payroll experience in amulti-state payroll processing environment

5+ years of payroll supervisory / managementexperience, having overseen a minimum of 6 direct reports

Experience processing payroll for an organization of 5,000+employees

Understanding of IRS and multi-state labor & tax lawrequirements.

Knowledge of accounting standards and laws related to payrollregulations.

Must have experience working with an ADP system. ADP EV5 isSTRONGLY preferred

Proficient with SAP, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and LotusNotes
