Administrative Assistant at Farmingdale

Job Description

Extremely flexible and energetic AA needed immediately by this growing Long Island commercial construction company.  You will provide assistance in all areas of the accounting and administrative processes (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Service Management, Reception and Project Management).

 

The position will be responsible for various duties including:

  • Updating spreadsheets
  • Composing proposals / client correspondence
  • Copying, scanning and emailing documents
  • Answering phones
  • Retrieving and distributing faxes
  • File Maintenance

The successful candidate must be eager and able to learn quickly and professionally handle multiple duties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  You must be able to take direction well, pay attention to detail, and have the temperament to work in multiple team environments.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 2 years administrative experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows XP Professional
  • Ability to type minimum of 60 wpm
  • Knowledge of the construction industry preferable
  • Experience in Sage Timberline and Timberscan software preferable

 

This is a full-time hourly position – working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Salary will be based on experience.  The company offers medical, dental, 401k, and paid time off.
