Production Planner at Hauppauge

Long Island electronics manufacturing company needs an experienced production planner.

Evaluate production capacity, control work orders, and assist in the development and maintenance of Bills of Material. Place requests through the MRP system for required manufacturing materials, and ensure that manufacturing processes follow the production plans.

Analyze MRP reports used to develop production schedules. Plan, prepare, and control production plans and materials requirements. Create and maintain a production plan that uses the companys capacity in a level loaded manner, and that meets the master production schedule requirements. Work closely with production control coordinators in expediting according to plans. Advises management of shortages or other bottleneck issues that could affect delivery commitments.

AAS or BS degree preferred plus at least five years of production control experience. It would be a great plus if your background is in electronics manufacturing, so that you have familiarity with typical manufacturing materials, and processes. However, people with manufacturing production planning experience with other kinds of products will be considered.

Should have good experience using MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) software, as well as MS Office. Must be very organized and analytical. Excellent communication skills are a must.
