Sr. Lead C# / ASP.NET Developer at New York

Our client is seeking a Senior .NET Developer - SQL Server in New York, New York (NY). This individual will report directly to the president and will have a unique opportunity to participate in the development of a commercial product. The candidate will also work with the companys clients to understand and translate business requirements into effective software. The individual will play an integral role in building and shaping a product in an environment open to their ideas. Candidates must be able to effectively organize and manage their time.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing business requirements and developing functional and technical specifications


• Designing, developing, testing, and implementing code of moderate complexity for existing and new business processes


• Writing procedural and code documentation on assigned projects and applications


• Periodically managing all phases of the software implementation lifecycle


• Occasionally tracking time spent on specific projects to be billed to clients


• Occasionally designing and developing documentation for users describing the installation, use, and customization of products and services


• Reporting status and issues to management as necessary

Key Technical Requirements:

• Full conceptual understanding ASP.NET platform


• Guru-level coding skills in .NET (VB and/or C#) and JavaScript


• Strong Transact-SQL programming skills (queries, joins, stored procedures, functions)


• Experience with Microsoft development platform, including Visual Studio and source code management tools


• Ability to work in all tiers of multi-tiered software


• Demonstrated knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle


• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects/activities


• Excellent communication and analytical skills


• Ability to write new code and update existing codebase


• Some knowledge and experience in systems design and development, performance tuning, implementation and maintenance of complex information systems


• Experience in developing and maintaining small- to medium-sized database systems


• Degree in a technical/computer/engineering discipline or related experience preferred


• Financial systems knowledge a plus
