Sales Account Executive at Deer Park

Job Description:
Vehicle Tracking Solutions (VTS) is seeking a Sales Executive. As a full-time Sales Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be selling vehicle tracking software and services to business owners, fleet and operation managers in industries such as: trucking, limo services, medical transport, construction/HVAC, delivery, etc.

VTS maintains offices on Long Island where the Sales Executive will reside. We have a long tenure providing fleet management solutions to a variety of industries and client types. Our staff of technology, consulting, and client services professionals have focused on the unique challenges of the GPS based fleet tracking market bringing efficiencies and cost saving to our clients.

Position Mission and Responsibilities:
Penetrate prospect companies maintaining and depending on fleets which would benefit from GPS based tracking solutions.
  • Aggressively hunt for new business opportunities through extensive phone based prospecting and on-site prospect and client visits.
  • You will be responsible for cold calling into these accounts to develop new opportunities and develop strategic selling strategies to advance prospects to closed deals.
  • Setting appointments, qualifying prospects to identify needs and issues, conducting software demonstrations to showcase solutions.
  • Teaming with a Sales Engineer for various sales.
  • Your sales efforts will be managed in our sales tracking systems (Goldmine) and you will be responsible for keeping accurate records of your prospects and progress. In additional to cold calling, prospect in any way possible - networking, public speaking engagements with fleet associations, etc.
  • Management and quick response of inbound leads.
  • Overall territory management.
  • Proposal creation.
  • Conducting strategic account and opportunity planning.
  • Regular communication of sales statuses to sales and executive management.
  • Travel throughout the tri-state area.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5-7 years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of exceeding quota demonstrated strong ability to close sales.
  • Understanding of the fleet management industry and the challenges facing the executives of these firms as they struggle to grow, serve clients and manage their business.
  • A strong rolodex of key industry players which can be leveraged to generate sales.
  • Possess the ability to communicate in an impactful way to the highest executive levels creating trust, confidence and a sense of urgency to transact business now.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an aggressive and creative strategic seller who can operate independently to uncover opportunities and create customer calls to action which result in new sales.
  • Have a solution oriented approach which has enabled you to match client needs to VTS ability to provide solutions to their problems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Highly organized, positive, team player with can do attitude and demeanor.


Compensation: 60-75K salary, 110K at plan, commission accelerators and full benefits package, car allowance

Education: Bachelors Degree required

Other:
  • Training program provided.
  • Upon starting at VTS the candidate will also be required to execute a non-compete/non-disclosure agreement and undergo routine background, behavioral testing and reference checks. Employment would be contingent on satisfactory checks and no conflicting employment or non-compete agreements.
