PROGRAM MANAGER POSITION
WITH THE YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS ACADEMY

YEA! is a groundbreaking and exciting afterschool program that transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Through the year-long program, students in grades 6-12 generate business ideas, conduct market research, write business plans, pitch to a panel of investors, and launch their very own REAL companies. YEA! was developed in 2004 at the University of Rochester with support from the Kauffman Foundation. Today, the Academy can be found in communities nationwide.
YEA! operates in 30 states and is growing. We are looking to add a dynamic, motivated, talented, committed, passionate, energetic Program Manager to our team. The YEA! Program Manager will guide our YEA! class locations all across the country, ensuring that all of our students have the great YEA! experience and learn the "make a job" dont just take a job, philosophy. The YEA Program Manager will support our class locations through the entire process as they launch their class and teach kids how to start and run their own businesses.
Job Function: The YEA! Program Manager manages off-site partners with regular email and phone communication and provides ongoing analysis and reporting of assigned sites. The YEA! Program Manager maintains program standards of excellence, yearly processes, goals, and project milestones across multiple program class locations.
Job Requirements
Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the ongoing support and operations of 40-50 YEA! class locations across the U.S.
- Lead weekly conference calls/working meetings for each individual assigned class location
- Serve as primary YEA! Contact for assigned class location to direct program and course activities throughout the year helping site leaders assist students with launching businesses
- Manage class outcomes and student results in each individual assigned class location
- Work with each class location to develop individualized strategic plan for YEA! program and course milestone completion
- Conduct program related trainings for class location staff
- Maintain team based relationships with all assigned class locations to ensure timely completion of program and course milestones.
- Ensure YEA! program and course integrity and success by maintaining streamlined program consistency and transparency
- Encourage, motivate, and invigorate class location team members through ongoing direction and constructive feedback
- Respond to electronic, phone, and written communication from class locations and related program and course participants
- Manage the process and aid in the procurement of donations and in-kind contributions from program sponsors as needed for assigned class locations
- Maintain constant analysis and reporting on class location activity and project completion
- Coordinate with YEA! team to deliver class location specific materials including, but not limited to: class location application, scholarship application, class schedule, curriculum plan, training materials, and other program related items
- Champion the ‘YEA! Way’ throughout all actions and activities
- Regularly participate in YEA! corporate events, projects, and other activities
- Information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
- Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
- Maintain 100% referencable clients for the YEA! organization.
- Retain 100% of assigned class location from year to year.
Qualifications: Experience, Passion, Personality Traits, and Technical Skills:
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (management, business, communication, education, psychology, social sciences, or humanities)
- 3-5 years of administrative and program management experience, project management, operations management or organizational management experience required
- Volunteer recruitment, event coordination, restaurant / retail management, program development experience or other relatable professional experience strongly preferred
- Marketing, fundraising, publicity and sales experience greatly desired
- Practical office or relatable field experience with demonstrated ability to work with limited direction and to direct /supervise the coordination / execution of events and/or programs required
- Media and social media experience a plus

Technical Skills:
- Excellent computer skills: internet search engines, Skype, Google Docs, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Ability to maintain large volumes of information, database records with regular reporting and task management. Advanced communication skills across, print, email, written, and verbal channels.
