Job Description

Windows Systems Admin- MidTown NYC- Contract to Perm.

What you need for this position:

- 5 plus years Windows systems administration

- Strong experience with Active Directory, Windows Server Administration, IIS, Windows File servers, and Terminal Services

- VMWare Virtualization and NetApp, highly desired

- SQL DB Cluster

- Management and administration of Cisco devices and F5 LTM.

What youll be doing, the basics:

- Administer, monitor and provide top level support for Production servers (Intel based servers running Windows ) along with storage systems (such as NetApp and HP), VMware virtualized servers, with the goal of providing 100% availability of services.

- Participate in the design and architecture of such systems for global projects.

- Management and administration of Cisco and HP network gear.

- Build and install new servers in designated sites, as needed, to support the operation of services and business objectives. This includes occasional travel to remote datacenters for such work.

- Participate in on-call responsibilities, including off-hours server administration and handling of escalations.

- Deploy software, configurations and content, as required for the day to day operations of the websites and servers.

- Download, configure, compile and/or install Windows software, as required, including commercial packages, and operating system patches and kernels.

- Participate in ongoing infrastructure improvement projects, such as:

a. Build out datacenter(s) for disaster recovery.

b. Implement SLA management into a system-monitoring framework.

c. Amazon AWS

- Setup and maintenance of common services, for example NFS, SSH, SMTP, cron, NTP, DNS, DHCP

- Documentation

- Configure and implement network monitoring and management systems.

- DNS and IP administration

- Knowledge of Network Management tools (Cisco Works, NetView and/or Sniffer)
