Job Description

FXDD seeks a junior to intermediate web developer to join our development team. Candidate should be self-motivated, energetic, driven and looking to build a career in a fast-paced market environment at a top brokerage firm. Responsibilities include maintaining and improving scalable enterprise (high traffic and availability) websites and applications, and developing projects with new web technologies.

Job Duties

Works with Marketing Department to develop new content for site, in multiple languages

Input translated content for improved site localization

Tests new website features across multiple browsers and operating systems

Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.

Updates job knowledge by researching new internet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations

Job Requirements

Basic working knowledge of HTML &CSS

Enthusiasm to learn new web related skills and technology

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Experience with Content Management Systems (Wordpress, Drupal, etc.) a plus

Experience with Javascript, jquery, and related frameworks a plus

Experience with debugging web and software applications a plus

Server-side scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.) a plus

Experience with web services and APIs (XML, SOAP, WSDL, JSON) a plus

Web design experience a plus.
