FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

LaGuardia Community College is inviting applications for an Assistant Professor of Nursing to teach courses in the Registered Nursing Associate Degree and Practical Nurse Certificate Nursing Programs; support departmental, divisional and college initiatives; participate in academic advisement and contribute to new program development; engage in professional development, research and scholarly activities that advance the nursing discipline.  Share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

Salary commensurate with experience and education.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

RN License (New York State or eligible) and Master`s degree in nursing required. PhD in nursing or equivalent preferred. Teaching experience in more than one nursing specialty preferred. Five years clinical experience in nursing strongly preferred. Two years of teaching preferred. Familiarity with the use of Word, Blackboard, and PowerPoint computer programs preferred.
