Strategy
- Support strategic and annual planning process across Baked Goods portfolios
- Support development and communication of consumer, customer and competitive insights as they relate to bakery categories
- Lead/Support execution of portfolio projects for Baked Goods categories
- Execute/Lead lo-impact portfolio projects (scope, target consumer, pricing strategy, launch strategy, opportunity assessment, P&L, etc)
- Develop and execute Product portfolio research plans to support strategic planning and product development (Collaborate with BI); trend research, ethnography, focus groups, sensory (support from coordinator)
- Develop and Support execution of promotion/launch materials
- Lead development and execution of new product launch and trade POS pieces; Develop/Execute traditional programs
- Consult with Shopper Marketing on execution with new consumer merchandising tools (ie digital, etc)
- Provide agency direction on POS and photography
- Execute portfolio discovery initiatives (with direction from SMM and MM)
Financial
- Lead financial review and gap closing planning for assigned categories
- P&L analysis to escalate trends to leverage opportunities and manage risk
- Execute bakery portfolio financial analysis to recommend pricing opportunities across products and customers
- Support execution of portfolio price increases
- Manage marketing budget for assigned projects/initiatives
Portfolio management
- Sales point of contact for eclairs, cookie dough, scones and biscuits
- Execute product life-cycle and sku rationalization updates for bakery portfolio
- Lead division Post-Launch Audit analysis to provide recommendations on portfolio optimization and New product development strategy
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in marketing or related field required; MBA preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in a marketing role; experience in the food industry a plus
- Demonstrated financial skills to include P&L analysis and other analyses
- Solid communication skills to include verbal and written capabilities; strong presentation ability
- Demonstrated strategic thinking skills
- Demonstrated leadership, taking initiative and delivering results
- Ability to lead and facilitate key customer interactions
- Demonstrated success in managing and directing change
- Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Travel 10%
