ATM Technician at Buffalo

Job Description

Experienced IT professional with a well-rounded ATM / Self-Service Device support and development backgrounds will be considered. ATM experience includes device driving solutions and approaches, wide-ranging exposure to various ATM application experiences, ATM/Server deposit automation, ATM Operations exposure including ATM settlement/balancing, ATM architecture, ATM monitoring, ATM test simulation, XFS knowledge, knowledge of multiple OEM hardware platforms, end to end ATM support, ATM switching/routing, vendor management, and industry software packages – particular the Wincor Nixdorf product family.

• MUST have previous ATM experience as technician and developer (4+ years as this is a highly complex application)
• Must understand Windows for configuration as this is the OS within the ATM for communication, switches, printers (Unix is a plus)
• Must have Java development experience along with XML and HTML as this is the framework used (current ATM is written in C++ but person should understand development and have strong experience in writing code)
• Strong understanding of database structures, utilization and SQL Scripting
• MUST have DB2 OR Oracle experience (either/or)
• MUST have TCP/IP experience for communication protocol

 

Mainframe experience is a plus as this group doesnt work the backend however the ATM does interact with the backend systems so it would be a plus if this person understood this side

 

 This position requires the design, development, and implementation of ATM business systems within and possibly outside the constructs of a team environment.  The position requires experience in all phases of the SDLC, with demonstrated ability to write necessary project documentation, translate business requirements into comprehensive functional/technical requirements for internal IT staff or vendors, and manage IT staff and/or vendors towards tangible deliverables.

 

Provide technical support for ATM software in the context of projects, production environments, and the ATM test lab environments. Coordinate and completes projects according to plan when assigned. Apply technology to business issues to increase revenue, avoid cost, improve service and achieve goals. Qualifications

This position requires an individual with:

 

· Participation in development and/or deployment

· Familiarity with in UNIX OS, as well as Windows

· Familiarity with SQL, DB2 and Oracle (preferred)

· Knowledge of scripting

· Experience with Java, SIMILE, and HTML is desirable

· Knowledge of TCP/IP, communication protocols, etc

· Familiarity with mainframe applications, preferred but not necessary
