WRGB (CBS) in Albany, NY is looking for an experienced Camera Operator with the skills and drive to join our news operation on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the news studio for newscasts, checking all cameras, lights and microphones for functionality.
• Coordinate with Technical Director before, during and after newscasts.
• Provide effective communication between studio based Anchors, Technical Director and Producer.
• Be aware of all studio camera movements during live newscasts and maintain a professional work environment.
• When necessary, time cues and other instructions are relayed effectively to the talent.
• After newscast, turn off all studio lights. Ensure talent has turned off wireless microphones. Ensure that scripts and other paperwork are thrown out.
• Notify engineering department of equipment related problems in studio.
• Inspect studio on a regular basis to ensure that it is clean and all entrances and exits are not blocked.
• Report to the Creative Services Director the studio status with any suggestions for improving studio operation.

The shift is primarily Monday through Friday, 4:30pm 7:15pm with additional hours scheduled as needed.
