What you’ll be doing
- Managing and supporting an enterprise computing environment consisting primarily of Windows 2003, 2008 and 2012 servers, Windows 7 desktops and Cisco switches and phones.
- Oversee desktop and application troubleshooting, upgrades and patching.
- Supporting business systems workflow and related services.
- Installing, upgrading, and managing server operating systems (VMware, Windows 2008/2012, Linux)
- Maintaining and auditing end-user accounts and security access
- Creating technical documentation
- Monitoring, securing, troubleshooting and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory
- Maintaining network monitoring and alerting systems
- Oversee storage technology such as Windows DFS and NetApp.

Job Requirements
What you need for this opportunity
- 5+ years of in-depth knowledge relating to Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint and Windows 2003/2008, including hands on experience, designing, maintaining, and administering each product.
- Experience with
- Windows desktops, Windows Servers, Exchange, Office 365 and SharePoint
- VMware maintenance and troubleshooting
- local and wide-area networking implementation and troubleshooting
- Must be able to create and maintain clear and easily understandable documentation for the current state and proposed state of infrastructure.
- The ability to communicate to all levels of engineering (management and development/test).
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize time, trouble tickets and multiple tasks, and seamlessly transition between them as dictated by the changing requirements of the business
- Must be willing to participate in IT team’s office rotation, often working out of the Queens, Brooklyn and NJ offices; Must be able to work off-hours when required to perform maintenance and upgrades.
Preferred:
- Cisco Catalyst switches and ASA Firewalls
- BS degree in CS, CIS or MIS
- Previous experience working in an ITIL shop
