Techno-Functional Analysts at New York

Job Description

Techno-Functional Analysts Needed – 6 months – NYC or Warren, NJ 
 
Hourly Rate: DOE W2/Hourly
Duration: Long term contract
Location: New York City or Warren, NJ

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develops and reviews Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • Facilitates meetings with the appropriate subject matter experts in both business and technology teams to receive specifics on requirements
  • Ensures that high-level business requirements have been decomposed properly into useable requirements
  • Performs analysis to determine and verify business requirements and functional design
  • Leads peer reviews and inspections of requirement documents
  • Manages changes to baseline requirements through a change control process
  • Develops and executes test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met. 
  • Create test scripts including specific test cases and expected results
  • Creates flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations
  • Utilizes standard processes, design and testing tools throughout project development life cycle
  • Ensures deliverables are being met on a timely basis
 
Required Skills: 
  • 10+ years of Business analyst experience in Risk/Compliance projects
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and documentation, client management and UAT testing Work closely with the team on problem analysis and data gathering, driving conflict/issue resolution and managing the communication of status of significant business process issues
  • Must have 5-years of experience with one or more business intelligence and data forensic tool sets such as SAS, BO, MicroStrategy, Cognos or Hyperion.
  • Must have SME knowledge and experience with MS Excel including, but not limited to, formulas, macros, graphs, charts and pivot tables.
  • Must have 5-years of strong hands-on experience with SQL. Must be a self-starter and work productively with minimal direction and oversight.
  • Experience leading, developing, and performing a variety of quantitative analyses.
  • Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills, with a demonstrated track record of developing and performing a variety of quantitative analyses.
  • Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills (analyses, projects, and people), with particular aptitude for leading in a fast-paced, highly intellectually and politically complex environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise sound judgment in making business decisions, especially when leading teams where tradeoffs must be made and buy-in from key stakeholders must be achieved
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively interface, influence and build alignment with individuals and multi-disciplinary teams across all levels of management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Must learn quickly and produce under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to collaborate across multiple business and technology functions.
  • Relationship building and consensus building are a must
  • Must have extremely strong listening, requirements definition, analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Must have extremely strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Must have strong Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Word knowledge.
