Construction company seeks Controller w/Gov't Contracts at Huntington Station

Job Description

A division of a large contractor is looking for an experienced Controller with experience working with various municipalities  to become a long term member of their team.  This is a rewarding and challenging position to become a team player in a progressive and successful construction company.

Responsibilities include:

Responsible for reconciling and adjusting general ledger accounts; preparation of financial reports and statements;  compile information for CPA for annual audit of financial statements;  preparation of government reports:  EEO reporting, prevailing wage, and IC 134’s;  monthly union reporting of fringe benefits; weekly payroll processing; certified payroll reporting; quarterly payroll tax reporting; job costing and reconciliation on monthly billings; monthly and yearend financial statements;  prepare year end reporting for corporate and tax purposes; prepare reports for annual Insurance and labor audits; preparation of bid bond and payment and performance bond requests; accounts payable and receivable accounting;  manage bank and credit facilities.

Skills:

Qualified candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Must be a team player.  Must be flexible and willing to work in  a fast paced environment.  Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and customers at all levels of the organization.  Strong analytical, problem solving, organization and planning skills a must.  Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel, implementation of a general ledger system.  For immediate consideration, please email the resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resum]
