Risk Service Specialist - Select Accounts
Job Purpose/Role
The Risk Management Specialist for Select Accounts is responsible for managing exposures, servicing needs
and developing relationships with our largest high net worth clients. Typically, a specialist is assigned to a specific geographic area, account or broker, and will focus on customers paying annual premiums in excess of $100,000. The Specialist will report to the appropriate Risk Services and Solutions Regional Manager based on the Specialists physical location.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively manage all risk management needs for assigned top high net worth customers.
Acts as Concierge for high net worth customer, including: investigates cost and logistics and arranging for recommended vendor services, and review Risk Management Surveys for issues and opportunities with underwriting before delivery to agent.
Conducts on-site consultative visit of assigned properties in order to provide recommendation for policy
rounding and to ensure appropriate coverage.
Coordinates coverage for any new exposures uncovered during on site visitations or during direct
conversation with the agent through underwriting and account rounding activity with the HNW Underwriter.
Manage inspections for all properties related to assigned account. Review account with and assign inspections to local Advisors as needed. Review completed inspections prior to referral to HNW Underwriter and coordinate presentation of all inspections to agent.
Enhanced interaction with agent establishing customized approach with each customer, including: physical inspections determining Insurance to Value (ITV), loss control, and Prestige Advisory Services (PAS).
Participation in customer-driven insurance or risk management meetings to review account with customer, business or risk manager, agent etc.
Works with the HNW Underwriter to review all aspects of potential new accounts prior to the proposal meeting to identify risk management needs. If appropriate, participates in the proposal meeting.
Works with the HNW Product Manager to review all aspects of the account 90 days prior to renewal to ensure customer satisfaction and resolution of any outstanding issues. If appropriate hand delivers renewal to the agent and accompanies the agent on any customer presentation.
Collaborate with the Service Technical Director to identify and develop services of unique value in the high net worth segment.
Responsible for monitoring the Affluent Account database and Excel spreadsheets for assigned accounts
Responsible for monitoring claims activity on all assigned accounts.
Participate in program development, including: mentoring and training territorial Risk Management Advisors, developing internal workflows that assure HNW requests are properly routed/tracked/assigned,
and performing consultative agency visits.
Educates claims liaison on the loss control and risk management issues for the account
Participation and presentation in HNW Seminars and other training venues
Job Requirements
Key Requirements/Skills/ExperienceAbility to complete on-site Insurance-to-Value calculations on high valued homes valued in excess of $10 million.
Possess analytical ability, including evaluation of hazard levels that exist within a home environment.
Possess knowledge in the areas of Loss Prevention and Risk Mitigation specific to Affluent and High Net Worth Personal Insurance clientele.
Ability to develop and deliver strategic, tailored Risk Management solutions for identified needs.
Minimum five to ten years experience in insurance surveying, real estate appraisal, home inspection, custom residential construction or architecture.
Experience with executing, documenting, and managing the results of complex insurance appraisals/valuation surveys.
Knowledge of Personal Insurance property and casualty business strategy, including products and services, ideally from experience with Sales, Agency, Underwriting and/or Claims.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable for multiple audiences.
Ability to work under moderate supervision.
Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with multiple priorities.
Computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity in Marshall & Swift/Boeckh (MSB) and using internet resources.
Undergraduate or CPCU preferred
Client and company travel required approximately 25 to 30 percent of production time.
Primary Duties Include:
Preparing Policyholder Risk Management consultation strategies.
Analyzing previously submitted inspection reports to calculate current replacement cost and confirm risk management recommendation compliance.
Gather information and confirm information about the risk that contribute to the value, and that may indicate unknown hazards.
Executing Insurance-to-Value and recommendations concerning hazard exposures for valued Policyholders on behalf of Agent customers.
Creating completed risk assessment reports, and communicating identified issues with appropriate internal and external audiences.
Prioritizing and managing workloads, including flexibility for key accounts.
Developing and maintaining critical internal and external relationships in support of Program success and effectiveness (relationships include Agency, Construction Industry, FFIC Distribution, Underwriting and Claims and Risk Services).
Developing subject matter expertise in areas of home Risk Assessment, Loss Prevention Consultation, and the use of the Prestige Advisory Services solution network.
Managing individual results against the Programs defined productivity, time service, and quality metrics.
Regular and reliable attendance.
