Director of Finance at Melville

Established Social Services Non-Profit located on Long Island is seeking a Director of Finance.RESPONSIBILITIES1.Manages the monthly close process; provides tools to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded.2. Supervises the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; ensures the accuracy of financial data at all levels of reporting; ensures timely reporting.3. Coordinates preparation of all audit workpapers. Serves as the liaison with external auditors.4. Plans and organizes the budget process, compiles budget data from all sources and prepares the final budget package to present for administrative approval. Documents all budget assumptions.5. Monitors the cash position for all organizations in the network, and provides advice on effective cash management.6. Provides leadership and support to assist the team to meet stated objectives.7. Designs efficient workflow procedures that allow for expedient processing.8. Researches, disseminates, and implements systems and processes for compliance with regulatory and industry practices.9. Provides support to the operating divisions in preparing budgets for new or expanded development.10. Facilitates access to and training of software applications to enhance management analysis relating to financial and statistical data.
