Job Description

Research Associate needed for 12 month contract position.The successful candidate will be responsible for purification support to medicinal chemists in support of Oncology Chemistry projects. Job responsibilities include analytical and preparative sample preparation, analysis, and purification of small organic molecules. Candidate will regularly perform post-purification data processing, culling of fractions, evaporation, and gravimetric weighing procedures. Additional tasks include solvent preparation for all instruments, rotary evaporation, and lyophilization of purified compounds. Attention to detail and good communication skills are desirable.Experience: 1-3 years experience in analytical and preparative HPLC is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with SFC experience, as well as demonstrated expertise in high-throughput automation and/or LC-MS systems. Bachelors degree required, with a minimum of 2 years organic chemistry coursework. Computer operation of laboratory instrumentation and experience using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are desired. Good general laboratory skills required.ORL
