Job Description

Database SQL Developer:

The Software Developer has experience in designing, developing and maintaining critical financial software with solid experience in application architecture, lifecycle management and business analysis. This position works closely with the business units, development team, and executives to develop and maintain business related software for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hands on Software Development.
Performing logical and physical data modeling.
Database Performance Tuning and debugging .
Perform coding and other related software development tasks per project requirements.
Work as an individual as well as within a team structure to deliver complex system designs.
Design effective system architecture with a focus in usability and scalability.
Plan and research, follow software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology and best practices.
Analyze requests for change, code and test new functionality.
Design and develop visual and functional specifications for internal applications.
Support acceptance tests and production test.

EXPERIENCE
6+ years of hands-on experience developing "database centric" applications.
Must be strong in Oracle(10G/11G) PL/SQL programming.
Stored procedures, PL/SQL packages.
Oracle SQL Loader, import/export utilities.
Concurrent processing.
Strong understanding of Database Development, and Data Modeling
Must be able to develop SQL queries of medium to high complexity (DDL/DML)
Working with large data sets.
Experience with partitioning, bulk operation, xml, flat file processing.
Expertise in writing technical documentation.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience working in commercial lending a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
SQL Server Transact-SQL
Object oriented programming in Java
Python programming language
