Sales Representative, Hospital Sales - Manhattan North, NY at Manhattan

Job Description

The Hospital Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling DSI products following current sales and marketing plans. Will develop a hospital customer base including applicable physician specialties, nurses, hospital departments, residents, fellows, pharmacists, and formulary decision makers, and other health care providers that influence drug distribution, purchasing and/or recommendation of pharmaceutical products and therapeutic protocols.Responsibilities:Achieve/Exceed defined brand sales objectivesDemonstrate understanding of cardiovascular disease state, products, market dynamics and broad healthcare channels (Hospital Inpatient/Outpatient and Cardiovascular Groups)Develop influential relationships and manage Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development with key departments/customers (Pharmacy, Emergency Department, Cath Lab, Critical Care, Intervention and Clinical Cardiology, and Ancillary Clinical Support Staff)Work with hospital P&T process to gain formulary position for DSI productsPartner with hospital Cardiovascular treatment committees to include DSI products on disease state protocolsFacilitate transition to outpatient environment via discharge protocols/orders; demonstrate a thorough understanding of Managed Care to effectively implement pull-through strategiesFacilitate collaboration and communication between Lilly/DSI counterpartsEffectively analyze market utilizing targeting, planning tools and promotional resources to capitalize on selling opportunitiesEducation and Experience Guidelines:Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year institution required; advanced degree desirableA total of 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience; Cardiovascular and or Hospital experience preferredBroad healthcare market business acumen and industry knowledge.
