Classification: Web Site Designer

Compensation: $40,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year

The Creative Group is looking for a talented Web Designer, specializing in clean, corporate design. As Web Designer, you will be transforming wireframes to detailed user interfaces, building refined corporate sites. You will be counted on to understand not only visual design, but usability principles and basic front-end development. While working with dedicated developers, the Web Designer will need a solid understanding of HTML and CSS3, and a familiarity with JavaScript. A successful candidate will show a demonstrated ability to use these languages to create compelling visuals and user-centered site navigation and layout. You will be counted on as a key collaborator within a dynamic team, reporting to the Interactive Creative Director.Interviews for this position are currently underway. Job Requirements

Must-Haves: 1+ years of professional experience designing for the web A portfolio demonstrating clean, corporate design Full command of the Adobe Creative Suite Solid understanding of HTML and CSS3 Familiarity with JavaScript Understanding of usability standards and user-centric design Ability to collaborate with designers and developers in a team environment Bachelors degree in design, human-computer interaction, or related fieldNice-to-Haves: Experience with wireframing programs such as OmniGraffle and Axure Experience with responsive, mobile, and/or tablet design Understanding of cross-browser challenges Familiarity with A/B or multivariate testing Proficiency in Fireworks
