A local manufacturing company in the Rochester, NY area is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst to join their team on a contract to full-time basis. The Payroll Tax Analyst will file original and amended federal and state payroll tax returns, respond to payroll tax notices and audits, and research federal and state payroll tax issues as necessary.

Job Requirements

The Payroll Tax Analyst needs strong technology skills, including expertise with Microsoft Excel, database applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. At least three years experience in tax with a focus on the payroll function and a bachelors degree in accounting are required. Individuals who have also earned a masters degree in taxation (MST) or accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA) have an advantage when pursuing this opportunity.
