Administrative Associate at New York

Job Description



The Strategic Technology Investments Group (STIG) of New York Life Investments is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our fast paced team. STIG is an active and lean group with a strong focus on innovation and investment. The ideal candidate should be able to keep up with a demanding workload while maintaining a high quality of work and uncompromised professionalism in all interactions both inside and outside the group. Very strong communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to handle outreach with efficiency and respect is required. The ability to anticipate needs and master new skills quickly is required. The ideal candidate must be capable of multi-tasking and have the ability to take appropriate initiative in completing assigned work. An individual who has a strong desire to learn and is always seeking new ways to improve upon existing processes is preferred. Our Group is focused on introducing innovative technologies into the various businesses of New York Life, as such an inherent curiosity and/or interest in new technology trends is preferred. Core duties/skills will include: - Managing complex calendars, meetings and appointments - Making travel arrangements and coordinating logistics - Coordinating meetings (both virtual and in-person) - Managing ad hoc projects (e.g. internal presentations, research, etc.) - Preparing materials and creating presentations for senior audiences

BA or BS college degree; 1-3 years of related administrative experience in financial services; the ability to work both independently and colloboratively with other members of the group; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate easily to all levels of management; ability to not only multi-task but also to respond to the needs and priorities of others in the group on a timely basis; High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

previous start up or venture capital experience preferred
