Electrician at Fulton
This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical components, facilities, equipment and power systems within the Fulton Ethanol Facility.Duties and Responsibilities:- Maintaining, adjusting, calibrating and repairing various equipment in the facility.- Performing regular maintenance of devices and equipments for testing and research- Ensuring that the equipments are functioning properly and are available and accessible at all times.- Fixing or adjusting malfunctioning equipment by making use of hand tools, electronic tools and software.- Follow blue prints and specifications to install electrical wires, cables and conduit systems.- Provide technical support including troubleshooting, machine repairs, adjustments, changeover execution and running equipment as needed.- Perform maintenance activities such as predictive and preventive maintenance, work orders and improvement projects via tabware.- Root cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtime.- Active participation in training and certification programs as needed in the technical aspects of our electrical components.- Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work atmosphere in accordance with policies and procedures.- Developing and maintaining positive interpersonal relations with other department personnel.
Requirements
- Knowledge of power distribution applications, including substations, relay coordination and short circuit studies.- Experience with electrical equipment, instrumentation and control system design, specification, installation, repair and maintenance- Knowledge of electrical/power system engineering calculations, construction methods and materials.- Ability to read and decipher regulations and industry codes along with explaining requirements to others.- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be capable of engaging Sunoco employees and contractors- Must be highly organized, have strong troubleshooting skills, be able to manage multiple projects/priorites and have good facilitation and group coordination skills.- Must be able to use computer based programs and applications.- Ability to learn a specific piece of equipment in a timely and accurate manner.- Knowledge of power distribution applications, including substations, relay coordination and short circuit studies.
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
Associate Degree Preferred or equivalent technical and/or military schooling.3+ years experience.
