OurAssistant Residence Managers play an integral role in the success of Devereux NY. Devereux New York is seeking an Assistant Residence Managerfor our campus locatedinClermont, NY. TheAssistant Residence Managerwill oversee intellectually and developmentally disabled children & adults, and partner with these individuals to facilitate daily care, enhance personal development, foster self-esteem, and meet or exceed individualized goals for success.

The hours for this position arefull-time. Compensationis commensurate with relevant experience and education.



As anAssistance Residence Manageryou will:

-Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the residence program.

-Act in Residence Manager capacity in their absence.

-Implement the daily operation of the assigned residence.

-Assist in the planning and implement ITP/Treatment Team goal methodologies and data collection.

-Maintain mandated OPWDD medication certification and will dispense medication asassigned.

-Be prepared for and attend ITP and Treatment Teammeetings.

-Ensure implementation of Treatment Team procedure.

-Be responsible for student/resident safety and supervision as well as ensuring rights.

-Complete recreational lesson plans as required.

-Ensure all required documentation is completed, which includes, but is not limited to, daily logs, behavior incident reports, staff communication logs.

Job Requirements

To qualify, we require ourAssistant Residence Managers to:

- Have a HS diploma/GED requiredwith one year related experience. Bachelor degree or Associatesdegree with one (1) year of related experience preferred.

- Have a valid NY Drivers License.

- Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor

- Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Physical Requirements: Pre-employment physical required. Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required. Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat. Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity.

CORE CURRICULUM (recommended training): New Directions Training, First Aid Training, SCIP-R, CPR, QPR, OSHA, Blood Bourne Pathogens, Infection Control, Student Rights, Duty to Report, Corporate Compliance, Behavioral Management Training, Accounting/Budget Training, Computer Training, Interpersonal Skills/Assertiveness Training, Time Management/Organization Training, Conflict Management, Utilizing Community Resource Training, Tolerance Training, Devereux Awareness Training, Problem Solving, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Understanding Autism, Documentation Training, Communications Training, Workers Compensation Awareness Training, Sexual Behavior and Risk Prevention Training.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION: Moderate.
