Our Client – a growing consumer products company is looking for a contractor at their HQ location in NY State – close to Northern NJ. Excellent hourly rate (paid weekly). Need to start immediately.

Job Title:  Engineering Technician – Contract

Location:  Orangeburg, NY

Overnight Travel:  0%

Compensation:  Hourly Pay rate range - $20 - $24 -  based on qualification & experience.

Candidate will be paid weekly via direct deposit in to their bank account.

Duration:  6 months to be extended if needed by client.

Company: This is a privately held consumer products company with worldwide sales of $800K+ and 2,800 people in USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Canada, China etc.

Group: This position is located at their company headquarters supporting 3 US plants adding up to 1.5 million Sq. ft and 1,400 people.

The client is upgrading their towel winding machine lines at this plant with (2) new and (10) refurbished units.

Job Description:

This position will interface with the equipment vendor personnel during the new unit installation and commissioning at the plant.

This individual will then assemble, fine tune, test, start up and commission the refurbished machines at the plant with remote support from the OEM vendor personnel.

Job Requirements

Candidate Must Have:

• Min. 5 years of machine maintenance / assembly experience in a plant environment
• Ability to read drawings / schematics
• Good communication, team, people and computer skills.

  • AAS degree in a mechanical, electrical or technical field
  • Familiarity with automation systems such as PLC, HMI, operator interface
